Most fixed seating is upholstered in place: when a cover tears or a colour scheme changes, the whole booth has to be stripped on site. The Second Skin is built the other way round.
Both the back and the seat are separate cushions with concealed zips along their edges and flat brass zip pulls. They are fixed to the frame with brass press studs, so a member of staff can lift a cushion out, unzip the cover and send it for cleaning or re-covering. The pictured booth uses an oatmeal back and a charcoal seat to show that covers can be mixed.
The economics. Keep a small stock of spare covers or cushions, swap them in minutes, and re-cover the same frames when you refurbish rather than replacing the seating.
Fire safety. Replacement covers must meet the same fire specification as the originals; we supply them to the same specification.
Options. Length, back style, fabric (COM welcome), spare cover sets.
