These two pieces answer the same question for a café or hotel lounge: where do people sit for an hour with a laptop and a coffee?
The first is a semicircular banquette in terracotta woven fabric with vertical channels, on a recessed timber plinth, wrapped around a round oak table on a drum base. Two power sockets are set into the back at shoulder height, one each side, so guests can charge without crawling under the table.
The second is a long, straight window bench in forest-green leather on a slim black steel frame with a lower stretcher rail. Its back is low, so it does not block the window, and it faces a full-length oak counter fitted with sockets at every place.
Construction. Round banquette: curved hardwood and plywood frame on a timber plinth, cable route to the sockets drawn on the shop drawing for your electrician. Window bench: welded steel frame with an upholstered seat and back box, made in sections for long runs.
Where it works. Coffee shops, co-working cafés, hotel lobbies and station or airport concessions.
Options. Radius, bench length, fabric or leather, socket types (UK 13 A and USB) and positions. Foams and fabrics specified to BS 7176 medium hazard on request.
