Some rooms need seating that is cleaned many times a day. This bench keeps every surface plain: a square-edged seat box and a separate back panel in smooth vinyl, with as few seams as possible and none on the top of the seat, where spills collect. The back panel stands slightly clear of the seat on the frame, leaving a gap so crumbs fall through rather than gather in a crease.
The frame is slim square steel tube with a perimeter rail and four legs on glides, so a mop goes straight underneath. Shown are a long bench in light blue vinyl on a black frame and a two-seat version in sage on a white frame.
Construction. Welded and powder-coated steel frame; seat and back upholstered on plywood boards and bolted to the frame, so a cut or split panel can be replaced on its own; high-resilience foam.
Where it works. Hospital and staff canteens, school and college cafés, quick-service restaurants and waiting areas.
Options. Vinyl colour, frame colour, two-, three- or four-seat lengths, back or backless, wall-fixing brackets. Vinyls suitable for frequent cleaning available; check cleaning chemicals with us. Foams and coverings specified to BS 7176 medium hazard on request.
