A small booth for two that looks like a piece of furniture rather than joinery. The shell curves from the back round into low arms and is covered in a dark brown or olive leather. Set into it are two soft rectangular back pads, each held by a single covered button, and a deep seat cushion in cognac leather. The whole piece stands on four splayed solid oak legs.
The photographs show facing pairs around walnut-tone tables on black bases in garden cafés, a forest-view dining room, a mountain terrace and a rural deck, with back pads in olive or tan leather. Because each booth is free-standing, a layout can be changed for a group in a minute.
Construction. Hardwood and plywood shell with foam over webbing; back pads upholstered separately and fixed with concealed brackets so they can be swapped; sprung seat; solid oak legs with glides. Leather or faux leather throughout for easy wiping.
Where it works. Cafés, brunch spots, garden rooms, and covered terraces (not left out in rain).
Options. Shell, pad and seat colours, leg finish, two- or three-seat widths. Foams and fabrics specified to BS 7176 medium hazard on request.
